Welcome to Miss Daisy Patterns website and online shop. I’m really glad you dropped by. All of the sewing patterns and craft projects on this website I have designed over the past three years.
I have always loved sewing ever since I was a child, and I was lucky enough to have been taught and encouraged by my mum and dad early on. Making my first handmade quilt at the age of 11, I graduated to designing and making most of my clothes as a teenager.
But, my true love has always been designing dolls and softies, which I have compulsively done from as early as I can remember.
Being crafty and design oriented I trained as an Interior Designer. I then specialised in holistic design and colour therapy before setting up my first craft and design based business, Missy Bonkers in 2009.
Using the disciplines of upcycling and dressmaking to re-use and recycle reclaimed textiles. Missy Bonkers’ label featured refashioned garments, accessories and handbags for retail, alongside developing educational packages focused on Craft, Recycling and Enterprise at a community level.
With Miss Daisy Patterns my work covers the disciplines of pattern drafting and design using textiles, felt, hand & machine embroidery, crochet and graphic design.
I am a registered member of the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland and a previous member of the Crafts Council’s Education Panel under the CRAFTed and Made in Galway banner.
I presently live on the West Coast of Ireland with my hubby and springer spaniel Little Milly. On weekends we can be found exploring woodland parks and our wonderful coastal landscape along the Wild Atlantic Way. Follow our adventures over on https://tinaorourke.com
