Fairy Door DIY

Make your own fairy door, follow our step by step tutorial using a selection of found item mixed with basic craft supplies.

Tools & Materials:

  • Scissors
  • Glue & glue gun
  • 6 large wooden lollipop sticks
  • 2 narrow pieces of cardboard (width of 5 lollipops together)
  • Twine
  • Found twigs and small cones, dried before using
  • 1 small decorative toadstool, flower, door-lock & small wooden key

To Make:

Line up 5 of the lollipop sticks side by side, use the 6th lollipop stick to keep them all in line.

Using the glue gun stick the pieces of card onto the back of the door as shown in the image below.

When the glue is dry, turn the door over and place the 6th lollipop stick diagonally across the door as shown in the image below. Glue in place.

Glue the twigs, cones, toadstool, flower and door lock in place as desired. Each decorated fairy door will be unique depending on the selection of found items used.

Optional: Tie the string onto the key and glue the string onto the back of the door as shown in the images below.
