I first started working on this pattern for a cute likkle bunny last year, and it sat in amongst my ‘patterns in development’ for absolutely ages. That was until I finally put the finishing touches to it and it was uploaded to my Etsy Shop yesterday. Happy Days 🙂
I fell in love with this little cutie from the first prototype I made, and she is also the first full pattern I completely drafted in illustrator before making up, which was an experience.
She started out being made up in a beige linen material with no limb definition and her little dress was just a quickly stitched up bottom section from a dress I was up-cycling at the time. So then when winter came around last year she definitely needed something a bit more substantial in the clothing department. I had just started knitting again so I made her a knitted dress with matching hat in olive green.
Once I had ironed out all the little kinks in the pattern, I changed it slightly and eventually settled on making it with Cotton Calico as she could be stuffed firmer and hold her shape better, I did stick with a simple basic dress with a lace detail as her summer outfit. And, here she is…
The pattern for Likkle Bunny is available in my Etsy Shop Miss Daisy Patterns.
