Polly the Owl is a cute beginner’s level soft toy pattern.
Polly can be made in two sizes regular or large, by simply upsizing the A4 pattern print out on a photocopier to A3.
The pattern includes fabric amounts needed for the A4 & A3 patterns alongside 25 plus detailed step by step pictures showing how Polly the Owl is assembled from to cutting to sewing.
Polly the Owl is a cute softie for all age groups, and is a good basic pattern, which can be customised as you the crafter grow in confidence.

Polly the Owl is made from felt in this pattern but she can also be made from a combination of cotton and felt or from left over fabrics. Colour combinations can also be played with to create individualised Pollys to suit your own style or décor.
The large A3 Polly the Owl pattern can also be used as an owl cushion, including or excluding the legs.

Main Body, Yellow felt 18″ x 10″ (46 cm x 25.5 cm) this can be made up from 2 sheets of 9″ x 10″ (23 cm x 25.5 cm)

Eyes, 2 x 3″ x 3″ (8 cm x 8 cm) white squares of felt. 2 x 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ (4 cm x 4 cm) black squares of felt

Nose, 2″ x 2″ (5 cm x 5 cm) orange square of felt

Wings, 2 x 3″ x 2 1/2″ (8 cm x 6.5 cm) light orange squares of felt

Feet, 4 x 3″ x 3″ (8 cm x 8 cm) orange squares of felt

Polyester stuffing to fill the owl

Yellow polyester machine threadTacking/Basting thread (optional)

TOOLS:

Printer and paper to print out your A4 pattern

Fabric & paper scissors also small scissors for trimming and snipping into joints
