SKILL LEVEL: Advanced beginner

BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY:

  • Good knowledge of using your sewing machine
  • Cutting a pattern

SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:

  • 25 cm / 10” to top of head

Materials:

  • Cotton fat quarter (I recycled a cotton shirt for the project featured)
  • Fleece (for the hat, boot and gloves) a fat quarter size is plenty
  • Long hair faux fur (see pattern for the beard size) 
  • (I recycled a faux fur gilet for the project featured)
  • Small piece of white/cream felt for the nose (see pattern for the nose size)
  • Polyester craft filler (not shown in picture)
  • Machine sewing thread (I used Gutermann white polyester)

Tools:

  • Scissors (paper & fabric)
  • Regular needle
  • Long doll making needle (6 1/4” / 174mm)
  • Wax for the thread
  • Pins
  • Blade for cutting the faux fur beard
  • Chopstick
  • Sewing machine
  • Printer & A4 Paper to print the pattern
  • Fabric marker to transfer pattern to the materials
