BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY:
You should already know how to use a sewing machine, basic embroidery stitches, instructions and diagrams included with this pattern.
SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
The finished doll is 12” (30.5cm)
MATERIALS:
10 x 16 inches (25.5 x 40.5 cm) White cotton for the doll’s body.
11 x 11 inches (28 x 28 cm) Black felt for the dress. I usually use wool based felt, recycled Eco felt also works well.
3 x 3 inches (7.5 x 7.5 cm) White felt for the collar.
9 inch (23 cm) Length of Ric Rac to trim the bottom of the dress (flat narrow braid woven in zigzag form, used as a trimming for clothing).
Chunky yarn for the hair. The yarn I used here is from Sirdar, Big Softy, Super Chunky wool & acrylic mix.
Wool or polyester filling for the doll’s body. For this doll I used wool.
Cotton embroidery floss/thread for the facial features, red & black
Spool of white thread, cotton or polyester Gutterman thread.
2 x 2 hole small buttons to attach the arms
1 small snap fastener for the dress
2-¼ inch (6 cm) square of iron on interfacing, to back the doll’s face when embroidering.
