Cute Birdy Bunting – How to Make

Materials:

  • Cute printed-paper (I choose red & white Christmas print as this bunting is going to be part of my Christmas decorations)
  • Paper doilies (in heart and circular shapes)
  • Fabric with printed images (For this project I used some left over pieces of material I had from this similar owl project)
  • Small wooden craft pegs
  • Twine
  • White machine thread

Cute Birdy Bunting - How to Make

 Tools:

  • Scissors
  • Sewing Machine
  • Note: Optionally you can glue the items together instead of sewing

How To Make:

Cut out around the shape of the fabric image leaving a slight border.

Place the doily onto the paper and cut out the general shape.

Using the sewing machine sew the doily onto the paper. Cute Birdy Bunting - How to Make

Then machine sew the fabric image onto the front of the doily.

Trim away the excess paper behind the doily. Cute Birdy Bunting - How to Make

Cute Birdy Bunting - How to Make

Peg the bunting onto the twine.

Cute Birdy Bunting - How to Make

The bunting is now ready to hang.
