The Story Box Project

CRAFTed Photographic Exhibition 2013

One of the first projects I worked on in 2011 for the CRAFTed Programme has been selected as part of a travelling Photographic exhibition. I loved working on this project which was based on story boxes representing the centenary of the Beltra Festival in Beltra Co. Sligo. Each of the items and characters were chosen by the students to represent different aspects of the festival and what it meant to them. Then using the six boxes with their different scenery stories of the history of the festival could be told by the students.

The Exhibition is currently running in Tallaght Library from 7th of May to the 2nd of June 2013.
Ireland’s CRAFTed programme gives primary school children and teachers an exciting opportunity to explore their creativity and learn new skills by working with professional craftspeople. For more information on CRAFTed Click Here. Photos: Bernie McCoy
